I love my Equipedic saddle pad. This pad conforms to all my horses' ever changing bodies.
This pad will seem a little stiff, especially if it is stored in a cool tack room, but it will out preform any pad I have encountered. Be sure you allow both the horse and the pad to warm up before you finish securing your girth or cinch. This is common sense for any horse owner. The pad responds to the horses warmth, and then conforms beautifully to his/her back.
Our horses range in age from two to thirty-six, and they all move well with this pad, with whatever saddle I choose to ride, on any given day, working or pleasure, in the arena or on the trail.
In the past, I have spent way too much time, and money, trying to find the perfect pad to keep my horses more comfortable under saddle. I have a tack room full of optimistic, and expensive, saddle pad mistakes. I have been sadly disappointed with clinician endorsed pads, with air bladders, and shims which cost nearly twice as much as this one. I have tried all the traditional approaches.
