The origin of this mysterious 18K gold design is from archeological finds in France dating back to the fifth century BC—a time when Celtic tribes occupied much of Europe. No one knows what this design symbolizes. To us, it represents a flame; a river stretching across the marshes or the tip of a fern curling toward light.
The black gem is a rare, faceted hematite, cut over thirty years ago, set in 18K gold.
Ear wires are also 18K gold and connect securely with a French hook. 1 ¼" tall.
